Endowment Fund
Give a Gift that Keeps on Giving
The CompTIA Educational Foundation Endowment Fund allows you to give a great gift that keeps on giving.
Gifts to the Endowment Fund are tax-deductible and restricted. The funds given are never spent, but rather they are pooled with other donors’ gifts and invested. The interest is used for scholarships to help people in need gain a career in the information technology industry.
The CompTIA Educational Foundation Endowment Fund guarantees the continuation of programs that benefit the industry and people who are attaining new IT careers. Industry leaders such as Hewlett-Packard have made significant contributions to our Endowment Fund as a way of giving back to the IT industry.
How can you contribute?
One popular way is through honorariums, which are gifts given in honor of a special occasion, such as company’s milestone achievement, a service anniversary at work, a retirement, a promotion, a new job or to mark a special event in someone’s life.
Many people choose to endow an IT scholarship, or several scholarships, in a person’s name or the name of their company.
Another method is through a memorial gift. Memorials are made in a person’s name who has passed on.
Gifts to the endowment also are given in wills, bequest, trusts or other mechanisms that result in estate tax benefits or other savings. You can support the endowment’s work by naming the CompTIA Educational Foundation as a beneficiary of any part of a pension plan, IRA, insurance policy, real estate sale or investment account.
Plus anyone can support the endowment by simply making a restricted gift directly to this fund.
